In September 2023, Clonmel Junction Arts Festival will produce a spectacular production at Kickham Barracks. Based on events from the Decade of Centenaries in Clonmel (1912-1923), From Out The Land will look at Clonmel at the birth of the Irish state, and how events of that decade shaped the town throughout the twentieth century.
Working with Tipperary Museum of Hidden History and a range of other partners, the text will be created by local people, actors and historians working with director Jack Reardon and script editor Pamela McQueen to tell the story through theatre, music and dance. Professional actors will work alongside a citizen ensemble to make this an unforgettable event that takes place in Clonmel from 1st to 10th September
