Music Generation Tradcamp

We will host Tradcamp 2022 in Clonmel where young people will work with both the Music Generation Kilkenny and Music Generation Tipperary teams in their respective counties, before coming together for a very special performance at the Dome stage at the festival on Saturday 9th.

TG4 Young Musician of the Year 2018 Claire Friel will be working with both groups as a special guest facilitator for the week, and she will alternate between both counties throughout the week. This is a great chance to come along to meet, play with and learn from some of Ireland’s top traditional musicians and educators, while learning about ensemble playing in traditional music, to have a fabulous opportunity to perform at the Dome and, above all else, have lots of fun. All instruments and ages are welcome, and even if you don’t have a background in Irish Traditional music, but already play music and are interested in this, then please contact us and we will guide you on whether this right for you. The cost for the full week including the performance at the Dome is €50.

There will be a Tradcamp concert on Saturday 9th of July at 1pm, Junction Dome.
