Inspired by the stereotypical stage Irish persona of the last one-hundred years, female protagonists and mythology, "A Selection Of Scenes Set in A Pub" takes on archetypes and examines them through the lens of this Work In Progress. A publican gives an American some advice, a step-mother and daughter are forced to share living quarters and a woman on the verge of an existential crisis meets her foremothers in a snug on Women's Christmas. Written and performed by Eve O'Mahony and an ensemble of actors, this collection of work highlights common tropes of Irish Theatre with realism, comedy and sardonic wit.
