Married to the Sea, set in the fishing community of the Old Claddagh in Galway city, tells the story of Jo, an eight year old girl with a special gift.
After the mysterious disappearance of her father, she must contend with an unwelcome intruder in her household and her family's secret past begins to unravel.
The show produced by Dragonfly Theatre for the 2007 Dublin Fringe Festival received rave reviews and won the 2007 Fishamble Best New Writing Award. It went on to play at the New York International Fringe Festival where it won the Outstanding Actor’s Award for Siobhán Donnellan’s portrayal of Jo.
