JUNCTION FESTIVAL @ CHADWICKS |
![]() |
| The main part of the theatre programme for this year’s Junction Festival will take place in a specially constructed 300-seat theatre in the disused Chadwicks buildings on Queen’s Street. In addition to the theatre shows, which will run daily at 4pm, 7pm and 9pm, this premises will host a full programme of workshops (see page 36) and the Space Time Machine and Youth Venue, which will be constructed and run by the participants in the inaugural Junction Teen programme (see page 16).
The venue will have its own café with fair trade coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Hungarian Artist Gabi Kiss, who will be in residence for the week before the festival, will decorate the café and workshop area. We are asking for a bit of help with this on Sat 7th when we will have the Opening Day Painting Party, when the public will be invited to come along (in old clothes) and help put the finishing touches to the mural in the garden, taste Jürgan’s wonderful hot chocolate, enjoy some free entertainment and start the week’s celebrations. The Festival would like to offer special thanks to the proprietors of the site, Walter Walsh and Charlie Purcell, for their support for our venture. |
