One of the most talked about shows of 2005, Nofit State Circus 'ImMortal', makes its first visit to Ireland this year with a show that is set to stun Irish audiences with its passionate performance, choreographed chaos and original live music.
According to the Metro it’s “a no holds barred (five star) show, fusing circus, dance, music, theatre and audio-visual, all wrapped up in a spectacular silver tent”
The Guardian says it’s “the future of British circus... Cirque du Soleil without the Disney and the disinfectant...an invigorating (four star) performance to leave audiences both shaken and stirred”
Written and directed by Firenza Guidi
Music composed and directed by Peter Reynolds
In 2005 ImMortal2 was rated the best ever UK Circus show, selling out performances all across the UK. The show was a hit of the Edinburgh Fringe and won a total of four major international awards. Now ImMortal is back and it is bigger and better than ever before, with additional cast members and stunning new sequences.
The audience enter the extraordinary spaceship style big top and find themselves immersed in a spectacular theatrical environment. The show explodes around, above and among the audience in a multi-sensory feast of circus, drama, text, dance, and music.
Breaking down barriers, ImMortal is a promenade performance where the audience move around the space getting upfront and personal with the action.
Immortal is audacious, ambitious, anarchic, surreal, magical, breath-taking, thought-provoking and funny; an irreverent and spectacular meditation on one of the biggest questions of the human race: are we immortal?
