Brothers, Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn began playing music together on the streets of their hometown and have forged a style based on close harmonies and acoustic instrumentation inspired by various folk traditions.

August Wells is a musical project formed in New York by Dublin native Ken Griffin and New York pianist John Rauchenberger. Their music has been described as “Strange other worldly chamber music”, “Sinatra singing Lou Reed songs” and “The secret marriage of Willy Nelson and Lee Hazlewood.” Songs to walk across your troubled heart with.

*Please note that this venue is not wheelchair accessible. There are 88 steep steps down to the cave. It is a half mile walk to the performance space. The temperature in the Cave is 12 degrees. Please wear flat shoes and bring a coat. People are kindly asked to arrive at the entrance to Mitchelstown Caves an hour prior to the start of the event. This is a seated event.

Volker Bertelmann first began to study the piano when he was nine after an epiphany while attending a Chopin performance in his hometown near Düsseldorf, Germany. The combination of Hauschka’s classicist training, chamber music sensibilities and pop-cultural interests ensure that the often playful results are far more than an academic exercise in experimentalism.

This screening of Carl Dreyer's 1928 classic with Live Score is performed by Cork composer Irene Buckley, soprano Emma Nash & organist James McVinnie.

Originally commissioned by the Cork French Film Festival, this live score for The Passion of Joan of Arc ( 'the pinnacle of silent cinema – and perhaps of the cinema itself') for soprano, pipe organ and electronics premiered at Triskel Christchurch, Cork. The Cork French Film Festival has since toured the Passion of Joan of Arc to Glasgow Cathedral for the Glasgow Film Festival, Skibbereen Arts Festival, St. Fin Barre's Cathedral Cork and Union Chapel in London.

Satire, surrealism and silly comedy with flashes of surprising acrobatic skill make Lords of Strut, bright, tight and incredibly funny live entertainment!

Lulu is a street artist that can't be contained in any gallery. Dressed in yesterday's news, this lady will sweep you off your feet and drag you into her imagination. Against a background of madness, scenes unfold, pouring from her pen onto paper, turning the 2D world of sketching into a 3D experience for the child in all of us. Who needs words when you've got a blank canvas, and a marker to fill it. Billy has no mates (ahhhh!) Watch him make an absolute eejit of himself with all manner of gags, audience interaction and ridiculous skits. Some real serious messing guaranteed!
