THE CAVE W/ BRIGID MAE POWER & MARC O'REILLY
SUN 09 JULY / 8PM
BRIGID MAE POWER
Brigid Mae Power is an Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who paints her songs in dreamily expansive strokes. Her self titled debut album was recorded and produced by Peter Broderick in Oregon and is a sparse, spectral collection of otherworldly songs. Power deals with themes including transformation, change motherhood acceptance and strength in her work.
Waterford songwriter Marc O’Reilly has released three critically acclaimed albums to date, thus establishing himself as one of the most exciting artists with the folk/blues genre gaining comparisons with artists such as John Martyn and Bon Iver. He has toured extensively with appearances at major festivals such as Glastonbury and Electric Picnic. Marc also has other projects such as the electric-pop duo ‘R’ with his brother Pierre.
