‘Exit Strategy’ is a new exhibition by The Project Twins & Peter Nash. The work looks at notions of identity, herd mentality and despair. Through the use of humour and subtle alterations of familiar visual references, the artists create a playful sense of unease and uncertainty in the exhibition. The Project Twins are James & Michael Fitzgerald, an art duo originally from Cashel, Co. Tipperary who are now based in Cork city. They work across a range of disciplines including illustration, printmaking, painting and three-dimensional work. Bold and playful graphics explore ideas of absurdity, oddities and the mundane. Peter Nash is an artist originally from Carlisle, Northern England, currently based in Cork city. Nash's work includes drawing, installation and sculptural assemblage. Using re-appropriated materials and imagery, his work examines human fallibility in a digital age of instant information, mistruth and increased automation.
