MICHAEL FORTUNE: LOCAL FOLKLORE PROJECT

ALL WEEK / TUES 05 - SUN 10 JULY / 10-6PM

Place4U, Gladstone Street

Free

For CJF16, artist Michael Fortune will collect and produce a new body of folklore from the residence of the Clonmel Voluntary Housing Association and Marian Court Sheltered Housing group.

Working predominantly in film and photography, much of his practice revolves around the collection of material - material which he generates out of the relationships and experiences he develops with the people he encounters. The intimate nature of the relationships with the people and circumstances he encounters, and the subsequent reflective treatment of the material at hand, is a key feature of his work.

This project is kindly funded by CVHA, IPB insurance and Tipperary County Council.

OFFICIAL OPENING TUES / 7PM
