The Common Thread Cafe
The Common Thread Café is a free arts & community space in Clonmel Town run by volunteer hosts in association with Clonmel Junction Festival. It is a place were you can come to have a chat with friends or perfect strangers, read a book, pick up or share a skill, play a game and have a cup of coffee or tea. This is indeed free, but we request that you kindly leave a donation towards the cost of running the space.
The Common Thread Café plays host to a range of activites and events for children, teenagers and adults. Past events have included performances by The Magic Carpet Duo, songwriter Fintan Brady, the Tritone Jazz Combo, storytelling by Turkish Delights and the delightful 'Spoonful of Silence' by Eleonor Nicholas. We also celebrated Culture Night and Halloween as well as hosting a selection of talks, workshops and related events.
Rent-A-Room
In addition to the café space, we have rooms to rent for workshops, meetings and social events at a very reasonable rate. If you would like to view the rooms, host an event or run a workshop at the café, please contact Theresia at 086 822 50 54 or email her at theresia9@gmail.com
