The Common Thread Café is a free community and arts space in Clonmel Town run by volunteer hosts in association with the Clonmel Junction Festival. It is a place were you can come to have a chat with friends or perfect strangers, read a book, pick up or share a skill, play a game, have a cup of coffee or tea, use you laptop and our free Wifi. All is indeed free, but we request that you kindly leave a donation towards the cost of running the space.
The Common Thread Café plays host to a range of activities and events for children, teenagers and adults. Past events have included performances by The Magic Carpet Duo, songwriter Fintan Brady, the Tritone Jazz Combo, storytelling by Turkish Delights and the delightful 'Spoonful of Silence' by Eleonor Nicholas. We also celebrate St-Patrick’s day, Love live Music, Culture Night, Halloween and much else as well as hosting a twice monthly food club, a monthly singer songwriter’ night, and a selection of talks, workshops and related events.
